In 1983, Joseph McInerney's 5th grade class buried a time capsule to be reopened on July 4th, 2001. This is the letter I found addressed to me inside the time capsule:

Dear Jonathan,
I'm glad you are here to read this. Things are good in 1983, we're in the computer age. How are they now? Have they invented the laser gun yet? How about a cure for Aids? How much does a can of soda cost? It used too cost fifty cents. We have a computer ourself, an Apple II+. As well as lots of games to play on it. do you have a job? If so what is it? Do you remember your camping trip in '83? That was fun. Remember the ketle pond; and the sand dunes. You didn't like the brail trail that much. Do you have a wife yet? And kids? do you live in Mass? Acton Mass? If you don't I'm pretty mad! Is your profession drawing? Are you still good at it? I wonder how much better you are at it? Here are soome drawings you made.
Youres truly,
Yourself
